Class 6 Circus EXTRAORDINAIRE!

CIRCUS EXTRAORDINAIRE!

It was a magical evening of great excitement and entertainment as the Class 6 children brought their circus to the school community. It was very much the Class 6s’ circus and it seems only appropriate to give space to some of their reflections:

‘On Friday night, the Class 6s had their circus. It was a beautiful event, full of colour and music. There were stilt-walkers, unicyclists, jugglers, hula-hoopers, tumblers, magicians and a clown. The musicians did a wonderful job, with Vinnie playing the cello and Fiona leading on woodwind and piano. They even played the Macarena for the stilt-walkers. The mini-tramp was wonderful with flips, jumps and dive rolls. The circus was extraordinary and I’m looking forward to next year!’
Keshav, Class 6

‘Last Friday night, the Class 6s performed a wonderful circus. There were stilt-walkers, acrobats, magicians and so many other amazing acts, not forgetting the wonderful music. The crowd loved it, especially the little children. They screamed with laughter at the clowns and were amazed by the roller-blading plate spinners. It was a great circus and we all can’t wait for next year’. Étoile, Class 6

The children will have long-lasting memories of a wonderful night of performance that was the culmination of the year’s work in Gymnastics, Eurythmy and Morning Circle activities, which concluded with a three-week Main Lesson led by Katherine Ellis, Dawn Hartigan and myself. There was much assistance provided from Louise and Bridget and on the night our class assistant Belle. Jess Moyes, our wonderful Eurythmy teacher, helped them walk and weave in formation on stilts. Ant Neate as the Ringmaster had the crowd in stitches and in a four-person human chair trick. Fiona Burnett and Vinnie Ward led the band in such a way that the evening was a seamless night of fun and excitement.

Not least, our school community came in droves to celebrate the achievements of the Class 6s and we are thankful for your abundant and joyous laughter and enthusiastic applause!
