Class 3 – Mudbrick Building
Class 3 has been steadily working away this term at our class building in Ring-a-Rosie, using the beautiful mud bricks we made way back in term one. The children have been learning many new jobs over the past few weeks – digging trenches, levelling posts, mixing mortar, laying bricks, parging and many more. Our sturdy foundations were laid, strong posts stood tall and the walls rose swiftly to create a very beautiful space for our little Ring-a-Rosie friends to play and a practical place for Heidi to store brooms and garden tools.
It was wonderful to observe the children so engaged and cooperative in this very rich and rewarding work. Thank you to Farmer Ben for clearly and patiently guiding us every step of the way, and to Simon and Ned for putting on the roof, we are very grateful for your help.
