Nest Cafe Grand Reopening

Nest Cafe – Grand Reopening

Yesterday Nest café had its grand reopening and it was an incredible cumulation of many weeks (months!) of discussion, organisation and planning.

A new and wonderfully enthusiastic team of volunteers, led by MRSS parents Adrienne, Rachel and Felicity, are working together to bring this vision of Nest, as a hub for our community, back to life.

Yesterday was an absolute joy! The coffee was hot, the chai was tasty and the buzz, excitement and energy in the space was wonderfully infectious – people were dancing!! Happy chatter filled the air, along with the melodic sounds of local musician and MRSS parent John Flanagan – thanks John! Some members of the Warrandyte Folk Choir also mustered
a very impromptu performance!

An enormous THANK YOU must also be extended to Alison Keenan and family whose business Industry Kitchens supplied, and donated a good deal of the expense, towards the brand new and very shiny coffee machine in Nest!

Needless to say, the space felt well and truly enlivened and the Nest crew are looking forward to welcoming you all each week!
