Class 5 India Night
At the end of Term 1, as part of the Ancient India Main Lesson, the Class 5 children and families gathered in the Oak Hall for an Indian dinner.
The land of Ancient India came alive in the colours, smells, sounds and tastes in the beautifully decorated space, clothing, food, incense and music. We were treated to some spectacularly beautiful traditional Indian dance presented by Govind Pillai. Govind spent time throughout the day at school with us, talking about the style of dance, telling and performing stories, and teaching the children a dance to be presented in the evening.
Govind’s unique expertise and the work and contribution of many parents combined to provide a richly nourishing experience for us all.
