Each year in November we hold our annual Open Day & Fair. It is a wonderful day of celebration, showcasing the school, our unique style of education, and cultivating joy and connection within our school and the wider community.
A Day of Celebration
Saturday 15th November 2025
Come along and enjoy the fun! We warmly invite you to explore our beautiful school, visit open classrooms and discover the creativity and joy that fill our learning spaces. Join a guided tour, chat with our teachers, and experience firsthand what makes Steiner education at MRSS so special.
Bring your family and friends and enjoy a day full of celebration and community spirit. Wander through the art displays, take part in children’s activities, and treat yourself to handcrafted goods, preserves and home-baked delights. It’s a wonderful day to connect, learn, and be part of the magic that makes our school community shine.
School Tours & Open Classrooms on Fair Day
Our Open Day & Fair is the perfect opportunity to experience the spirit of our school in action. Throughout the day, visitors are warmly invited to explore our beautiful grounds, visit open classrooms and see the creative work of our students on display. Teachers and students will be available to chat and share insights into the unique approach to learning that defines the Melbourne Rudolf Steiner School.
Guided tours offer a wonderful way to learn more about our educational journey from Kindergarten through to Year 12. Whether you’re a prospective family or simply curious about Steiner education, we welcome you to come along, ask questions and experience firsthand what makes our school so special.

Community Artisan Market
A much-loved feature of our annual Open Day & Fair is the Community Artisan Market — a vibrant collection of stalls from local businesses and artisans offering treats and treasures that reflect the ethos, philosophy and creative spirit of our school community. Each year the market brings together some of Melbourne’s best artists, designers, crafters and makers, all contributing to the unique flavour and charm that makes our Fair so special.
This year we’re excited to once again host a fantastic array of stalls — the perfect place to start your Christmas shopping or find something truly one-of-a-kind. From vintage and handcrafted clothing to beautiful homewares and thoughtful gifts, there’s something for everyone. Come along, browse, and treat yourself while supporting our talented local community of makers and creators.
