Our Community

Fostering a Healthy Community

Our wider community is made up of parents, alumni and friends and our school is nurtured by their ongoing involvement. Support and participation is fostered in many ways – through goodwill, positive engagement, the undertaking of practical work and fundraising, as well as joining study groups, craft groups and committees.

We seek to show every child that they have an extensive community surrounding them who are committed to their success and wellbeing.

The healthy social life is found, when in the mirror of each human soul, the whole community finds its reflection, and when in the community, the virtue of each one is living.

Festivals & Events

Throughout the year the school hosts many joyful and inspiring seasonal festivals and events that help to strengthen community, celebrate the school’s spirit and mark the rhythm of the year.

These events bring the community together to experience a range of feelings, from moments of inward reverence and quiet contemplation to festive joy and companionship. They offer the opportunity to share knowledge and wisdom, celebrate and honour different cultures, and foster strong social connections.

Parent Involvement

Parent involvement is vital to the health of our school. Through active participation in the life of the school, parents can enhance their child’s educational journey and form lasting connections with other parents and the wider community.

Throughout the school year, there are many opportunities for parents to be involved: Open Day & Fair, class festivals, community talks, market days, parent/teacher evenings and class meetings, and volunteering to be a Class Liaison or Fair Liaison to help with communications between teachers and their parent group.

All contributions are received with immense love and gratitude and help our community to grow and flourish.

Community Groups

We recognise the vital relationship between families and our school and endeavour to provide opportunities to actively involve parents and the wider community.

Parents and members of the community are encouraged to share wisdom and practical skills through small groups and at larger events, and these opportunities for shared learning assist all our parents (and our staff too!) to learn and grow, helping the children in our care to thrive by creating synergy between the school and their home life.
