For their final Main Lesson of Term 1, Class 3 were knee-deep in the graceful art of mudbrick making. Each morning they arrive at the Farm ready to begin work — gathering, mixing, shovelling and moulding clay into bricks — and they leave each day with pride in their work and mud on their boots.

As their skills have developed, they have begun striving for that perfect brick: straight, not too sloppy, and with just the right amount of hay.

Already, thoughts are drifting to the end of the year, when we will create a building to stand the test of time.
